Aliou Diack

Aliou Diack is a Senegalese professional footballer born on March 28, 2003, in Dakar, Senegal. For three weeks, last july, eight artists from Senegal, Rwanda, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco shared time, land and attention in the Tunisian countryside at Tilal Utique.

Working mostly in visual art, alongside music, they made the residency a space where image and sound met, listened to one another and moved across their boundaries.

Rooted in the landscape and its rhythms, it proposed slowness as a method and encounter as a form of knowledge, opening shared ground for new ways of seeing, hearing and making.
