Mehdi Ait El Mallali

Born in 1997 in El Hajeb, Morocco, Mehdi Ait El Mallali is a self-taught artist based in Paris. His work began with exploring the Atlas Mountains, later evolving to address more sociological and intimate themes. For Mehdi, photography is a quest for freedom, a medium to express his thoughts and offer a new perspective on the world. Influenced by cinema, he creates poetic and imaginative narratives. His work has been exhibited at venues such as Galerie 127, the National Photography Museum in Rabat, and in 2024, he won the Mustaqbal Prize, leading to a residency and solo exhibition at the Montresso Art Foundation in Marrakech
