Outdoor Theatre
The outdoor theatre at Tilal Utique, currently in its final design phase, takes full advantage of the natural contours of the hill to offer a unique theatrical experience. Designed as a gathering space at the heart of nature, this theatre blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, with the seating appearing to rise organically from the terrain itself, creating an intimate and immersive atmosphere.
Intended to host artistic performances, special events, and community gatherings, this space stands out for its fluid architecture, which respects and enhances the natural topography. The acoustics have been meticulously optimized to provide exceptional sound quality outdoors, while the lighting will be carefully integrated to highlight the stage at twilight, enhancing the magical ambiance of this open-air venue. The space will serve as a true convergence of art and nature, offering spectators an immersive experience in an enchanting environment.
Educational Farm
The Educational Farm at Tilal Utique is an immersive space designed to raise awareness about sustainable agriculture and responsible natural resource management. This living environment allows visitors to learn about and interact with environmentally conscious farming practices, perfectly aligned with the project’s philosophy.
The farm includes organic cultivation gardens, diverse orchards, and animal enclosures, providing a comprehensive experience of permaculture and agroecology. Practical workshops and guided tours introduce visitors to sustainable techniques such as composting, water management, and agroforestry. These activities immerse visitors in local ecological challenges while promoting responsible and sustainable agricultural practices.
Pole de vie (Hub of Life)
Currently in the design phase, the Life Hub at Tilal Utique will serve as the dynamic center of the project. This multifunctional space will integrate a variety of activities, including dining areas, local artisan shops, leisure zones, and informal gathering spaces. The design features modular structures and open architecture, allowing for flexible use and seamless interaction between indoor and outdoor areas.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of Utique, the Pôle de Vie is designed to foster a sense of community, innovation, and inclusivity, offering visitors and residents opportunities to come together for shared experiences, community events, and creative initiatives.
Meditation Center
The Meditation Center is conceived as an architectural exploration of how natural elements can be meaningfully integrated into a space dedicated to contemplation and renewal. Designed by the Greek architect Christos Passas, long-time collaborator of the late, internationally renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the project draws inspiration from ancient places of retreat and reflection, such as the Oracle of Delphi.
Rooted in the distinctive topography of Tilal Utique, the design establishes an immersive dialogue with the landscape. The architecture follows the natural contours of the terrain, unfolding into terraced meditation spaces that invite light, openness, and expansive views. Every aspect of the center is shaped to enhance the calming presence of nature, through the use of natural materials, stone gardens, and reflective water features that deepen the sensory and contemplative experience.
